If there was just one month to honor black history, then an entire day should be dedicated to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the only black justice currently serving on the nation’s highest court.
Instead of honoring Justice Clarence Thomas during Black History Month, Amazon dropped a popular PBS documentary about him. During Black History Month, Amazon decided to drop the critically acclaimed documentary, Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words. The documentary was currently trending in the top forty of all documentaries on Amazon, but was taken down because it did not fit the mold that the Left is looking to promote.
The film has over one thousand ratings with an average of 4.9 stars! Thomas’s life is a testimony to all, no matter the skin color. But his life, his testimony, his example and his voice are a threat to the Left. This real life story of courage and redemption is why Thomas won’t be celebrated during the Left’s version of Black History Month.
Amazon claims to be “building an inclusive culture” but when it comes time to honor the nation’s longest serving black justice, Amazon censors a popular, inspiring film about him. Big Tech is promoting their brand of anti-America, cancel culture politics, which uses and manipulates black people in a pretentious and racist way. If you’re a black conservative, or a black constitutionalist, then your ideas do not matter to the Left Cult; your accomplishments are not worth celebrating and your voice does not really matter — to them.
Amazon Prime created an entire Amplify Black Voices page on their site, with four weekly themes dedicated to blacks and dozens of films available for streaming. The documentary on Thomas is no where to be found. Amazon did give a platform to Thurgood Marshall, a former supreme court justice who was also black. Thurgood Marshall is a liberal icon, unlike Thomas who makes judgments based on conservative principles. The only film that mentions Thomas is a sexual harassment hit-piece that celebrates Anita Hill’s (debunked) claims that Thomas sexually harassed her.
When Big Tech celebrates Black History Month, they are looking to promote only the blacks who are part of the woke left cult – you know, the ones who want to cancel whites and make them pay reparations. If you’re black and don’t follow along with the left-wing agenda, you don’t count, either. Black people are only celebrated by the left if they conform to the cult and its ideologies of hate disguised as “inclusiveness.” If you are black and you don’t go along with the Left Cult, you’ll be censored with the rest of the “institutionally racist” whites and “hate-speech” conservatives.
The radical left’s ongoing cancel culture uses authoritarian tactics to deny others an equal playing field. The radical left does not inspire equality; instead, they create the foundation for racism and discrimination to take hold. The radical left’s idea of “inclusiveness” and “equality” is achieved through force, social ostracization and censorship and is therefore nothing more than thought control and tyranny.
Instead of using open debate and persuasion, they use shaming tactics and manipulation to build up their cult following. Whether they are telling whites to be more black, calling on whites to confess their white privilege, or censoring blacks who have conservative principles, the Left cult wants to humiliate and control anyone they can, ideologically, behaviorally, and mentally. It’s all very damaging to the culture, to civil discourse, and to healthy human connection and relationship, but these are the Left’s desperate, abusive tactics that must be addressed today.
