A Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “pandemic”-era policy that helped keep a lid on America’s out-of-control illegal immigration problem is expiring this week, and many worry that the country will soon become overridden with another wave of “migrants.”
The illegal invasion problem is nothing new for the United States, but it is about to take a major turn for the worse once Title 42 expires on May 11. Once this happens, Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will have a much more difficult time handling the removal of asylum-seekers, which are flooding through the southern border by the thousands.
(Related: Tens of thousands of fresh illegals are already waiting at the border to rush into the country once Title 42 expires.)
Back in March, there were 191,900 illegals who tried to enter the country. This is a 23 percent increase from the 156,138 illegals that were tallied the previous month, according to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.
Of the nearly 200,000 illegals who arrived at ports of entry in March, 69 percent were single adults. Nearly half of all the migrants were able to be expelled under Title 42, which will no longer be the case after May 11.
“Every day we’ve got more and more apprehensions,” said Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb of Arizona on the “Just the News, No Noise” television program. “Our aviation unit is pulling people out of the desert every day.”
In nearby Yuma County, the sheriff there says that just on Monday of this week alone, some 4,000 people are in custody – and Title 42 has not even yet expired. Once it does, that number is likely to increase.
According to Lamb, the sheriff of Cochise County is already having to have Border Patrol release 400 illegals per day into his community because there is simply no more room at the inn to hold all these people.
“It’s a disaster, and it’s only going to get worse,” Lamb further revealed, adding that he expects the numbers “to go from about 7-8 thousand, which is what we’re seeing now, up to over 11,000 a day in the next few days.”
“And this is going to be catastrophic for all of us,” he continued.
Since January of 2021, some six million new illegals have entered the United States while Title 42 was in place. Just imagine how many millions more will rush through once Title 42 ends.
According to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the expiration of Title 42 does not mean that the southern border is open – even though millions of illegals continue to pour through without consequences.
“It has not been open, and it will not be open subsequent to May 11th,” he said recently in a message directed at the illegals who are waiting on the other side of the border for Title 42 to expire.
“And the smugglers who exploit vulnerable migrants are spreading misinformation. They are spreading false information, lies in a way to lure vulnerable people to the southern border and those individuals will only be returned.”
Lamb’s response to this is that it is just another pile of lies from the Biden regime, which “doesn’t back anything up.”
“They have no muscle behind their mouth. And so, I don’t expect anybody to change their behavior. It’s almost like a wink, wink, ‘Hey, don’t come.’ But then they just don’t do anything to stop it, either.”
In an interview, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) further criticized the Biden regime for failing, or perhaps refusing, to prepare for the lifting of Title 42, stating that “everyone here in Arizona knows we are not prepared.”
