Bubbles flew everywhere as rainbow flags were waved during Canada’s largest Pride parade on June 25 in Toronto, joined by nudists who held glaring signs saying, “Life is short: play naked,” and “Good things happen when you are naked.”
Another sign that said, “Proudly celebrating my diversity! Is getting NAKED therapeutic?” was held high above the head of a parade participant so that the crowd could read it better. It was highly noticeable that several adult male participants can be seen exposing themselves to the audience, which included children.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and federal New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh were seen during the event.
Moreover, gay people walking in puppy play and furry costume fetish gear were also present at the Pride march. Observers saw them walk by, waving the puppy pride flag and making barking noises to the cheers of the crowd. A drag queen with oversized fake breasts was recorded on the back of a truck during the parade.
Pride Toronto, whose mission says, “Pride Toronto supports our communities in the pursuit of our unequivocal rights to be known, heard, understood, accepted, respected and to celebrate the beauty of who we are” organized this year’s event. The parade featured at least 250 participating groups and cost twice as much money as it did in 2022.
Pride parade participant Kjerstin Karlsson said it’s been almost 12 years since he transitioned when he was 54 years old. He expressed confidence in the community’s strength to withstand prejudice and prevail.
“I think I’m here for the younger generation,” said Karlsson. “I’ve already been through all the stuff that they’ve been through, so it’s important to show them that there is hope.”
The organizer also staged three different “family-friendly” Drag Queen Storytimes and a “Body Pride: Clothing-optional” event on June 10 that was for all ages as per the “Pride Guide” it published.
Bud Light was one of the major sponsors of the march and even had a float in it with a crowd of parade participants walking behind, clad in t-shirts representing the beer brand.
The move continued to anger conservatives, who have been criticizing the beer brand for its “wokeism.” It has been facing backlash and boycotts for almost three months now. (Related: They never learn: Bud Light donates $200K to LGBT-run businesses amid fallout of botched Dylan Mulvaney campaign.)
On its company website, the beer brand claimed that collaborating with this event is at this point a longstanding tradition. “Bud Light Canada has been a proud partner of Pride Toronto for the last 10 years. This year, we’re commemorating this milestone with Pride Toronto by featuring them on our can design, as well as continuing as the official beer sponsor of the festival,” it said.
Drag queens and scantily clad dancers dressed in leather and fishnet clothing were seen performing on the Bud Light stage. Dr. Anastasia Maria Loupis shared on Twitter footage of the performance originally posted by the Post Millennial. She wrote: “Bud Light has a stage at Toronto Pride. This is one of the acts. They deserve to go completely broke.”
The viral video got over 2.3 million views on Twitter, with thousands of people sharing their anger via comments and retweets.
